Global Links & Services Ltd. joined other leading voices at the 49th Annual General Meeting of the National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA), held in Lagos. Representing the company was CEO Chinyere Umeasiegbu, whose presence reaffirmed Global Links’ dedication to advancing best practices in Nigeria’s travel and tourism ecosystem.

Themed “Collective Prosperity Through Market Protection,” this year’s AGM addressed urgent industry threats from unchecked cross-border ticketing practices to the absence of a charter regulating travel agents. These discussions are particularly relevant to Global Links’ work in advocating for ethical, transparent, and growth-driven travel solutions.

Pastor Chi described the event as “a wake-up call and a roadmap,” underscoring the value of industry alignment in facing economic leakage, elevating professional standards, and driving innovation through digital tools like the newly introduced NANTA member ID cards.

The AGM also spotlighted the untapped potential of domestic tourism, an area Global Links is actively exploring through curated local travel packages, collaborations, and storytelling.

As NANTA looks ahead to its 50th anniversary in 2026, Global Links remains committed to championing initiatives that empower local agents, build consumer trust, and unlock the full potential of Nigeria’s travel sector.
